The one with the light bulb moment…

When I wrote this post last week It felt really good to get how I was feeling out. You see the verse from Song of Solomon had been running in my mind for days and I had no idea why…but that day that it all seemed to collapse in on my heart was tough and then God showed me why that verse is important for me, the single girl. See I was wishing for an earthly beloved when I already had a beloved who loved me more than I can even comprehend. So with a light heart I spent the rest of my week loving my beloved.

Fast forward to today and let me tell you it was not a great morning…I had to go to the doctor, had to go back home because I was contagious, told I should not talk as to not strain my vocal chords, missed my first class of the semester, and found out a place I hold dear to my heart had burned down..and this was all before noon! As I was driving home feeling kinda down (ok let’s be honest I was wallowing y’all) satan started his routine…you know the one, the lying and the tearing down and the kicking…

So in order to stop my thoughts I turned on my radio, was not satisfied and hit the cd button…and this is what played…

Love of my life
Look deep in my eyes
There you will find what you need
Give me your life
Lust and the lies
The past you’re afraid I might see
You’ve been running away from me

You’re my beloved
Lover I’m yours
Death shall not part us
It’s you I died for
For better or worse
Forever we’ll be
Our Love it unites us
It binds you to me
It’s a mystery

Love of my life
Look deep in my eyes
There you will find what you need
I‘m the giver of life
I’ll clothe you in whine
My immaculate bride you will be
Oh come running home to me

You’re my beloved
Lover I’m yours
Death shall not part us
It’s you I died for
For better or worse
Forever we’ll be
Our Love it unites us
It binds you to me

Well you’ve been a mistress, my wife
Chasing lovers it won’t satisfy
Won’t you let me make you my bride
You will drink of my lips
And you’ll taste new life

Cause you’re my beloved
Lover I’m yours
Death shall not part us
It’s you I died for
For better or worse
Forever we’ll be
Our Love it unites us
And it binds you to me

You’re my beloved
Forever we’ll be
Our love it unites us
And it binds you to me
It’s a mystery
It’s a mystery

BELOVED…

Hello light bulb and thank you for illuminating my heart. I cried the whole way through the song because it was such a beautiful gift, to me, from my beloved.

I have such a wonderful love of my life, who knows even my deepest need and sends a gift just to show He cares.

You see I have never thought of getting to know my Jesus just as I would get to know a guy in my life. But I am finding that I want to…

This is the beloved I am coming to know, and I cannot wait to learn more about Him. This relationship…it is off to a beautiful start.

(oh if you want to hear the song there is a video below)

His Beloved,

Your story gave me goosebumps! I heard that song the other day on the xm radio (always tuned to The Message) and it’s beautiful! If that isn’t a sign, I don’t know what is!
